On our family’s darkest day when we had no hope and an uncertain future…. God knew.
God Knew——-
- Forgiveness-
Romans 3:23-25
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood- to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness.”
1 John 1:9
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
- Church- He gave us a church family and pastoral staff who have surrounded us with love, support, and accountability. Ben is actively serving in our church’s media team, using his gifts and talents for a place he used to dread walking into. God gave him a second chance and opened his eyes to the many people who love him and want to see him succeed.
- Friendships- He gave Ben true friends. Ones who love him for who he is, accept him where he is, and who have stood by him through this all. He has done Bible studies with some of them and talks daily to most of them. No pressure just love and LOTS of laughter and pranks!
- Finances- He gave Ben a job with a good friend delivering hospital beds to Vets when no one would hire him. He desperately needed to replace his lost income and this friend reached out a loving hand of kindness and second chances. God gave Ben handy man work which has developed his love of woodwork and now…. He is building every spare minute and orders for his pieces and home repairs keep coming in. Only God saw a carpenter in a broken man. Wow!
- Restoration- He knew restoration would come. Relationships would be rebuilt, our family made whole, and His grace would shine throughout the last 6 months.
GOD KNEW.
Nothing is over and this is a daily choice and we still have so many things up in the air, but I want to celebrate how far we have come. How God can take brokenness and despair and turn it into hope. It is a journey, one that is taken step by step and day by day. God sees you and He has not left you hopeless….He knows. Trust in Him and start walking in the direction He leads.
